Watad and Clusters Sign MoU for Developer Procurement Solutions

Watad signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Clusters Real Estate Development Company on the sidelines of Big 5 Construct Saudi 2026, marking a new step toward advancing procurement and supply chain management for real estate projects through technology and data-driven solutions.

Under the agreement, Clusters will join as a design partner for Watad’s real estate developer platform, contributing practical expertise and market insight to help shape a solution that reflects the actual needs of developers and project teams and aligns more closely with how procurement is managed on the ground.

The collaboration focuses on several key areas across the procurement cycle, including building materials requests, supplier access, quotation and price comparison, purchase order management, and delivery tracking. These capabilities are intended to improve transparency, strengthen cost control, and increase the overall efficiency of project procurement.

The MoU comes at a time when technology is playing an increasingly important role in real estate development. Digital transformation is no longer limited to customer experience, but is expanding into operations, supply chains, and project decision-making. The collaboration brings together Clusters’ experience in real estate development and Watad’s technology capabilities in building materials procurement to explore more integrated and flexible solutions for projects.

Through its real estate developer platform, Watad is working to give developers greater visibility into procurement activity across their projects, including contractor purchasing, technical and financial approvals, and clearer data around execution and procurement, all within a connected environment that brings stakeholders and decisions together in one place.

The agreement reflects Watad’s approach to developing solutions in direct collaboration with the people who will use them. By involving developers in the design process, Watad aims to translate real operational needs and project challenges into practical platform capabilities that support a more transparent and efficient procurement journey from planning through delivery.

The MoU was signed during Big 5 Construct Saudi 2026, which brought together stakeholders from across the construction and real estate sectors and created new opportunities for collaboration, coinciding with the launch of Watad’s new platform dedicated to real estate developers.
